- I have lived in Vermont, near the Canadian border, and in southern New Mexico, near the Mexican border, for most of my adult life. For 13 years I owned and operated the Alley Beat Bookstore, in Middlebury, Vermont, which specialized in contemporary poetry and small press publications. I was active in the Burlington, Vermont Poets Mimeo Cooperative for many years, and my poetry has appeared in a k a, OASII, Puerto del Sol, Sin Fronteras, :that:, and Vox Audio. More recently, I have been active in the ecumenical study and Christian worship Transfiguration Community, based in NYC. I also sit Zazen online with Dragon's Eye Zendo. I was baptized in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, in Morningside Heights, the same church where Thomas Merton was baptized. I recently helped found the Vermont Renaissance, a poets' writing and discussion get together in Charlotte, Vermont.
